Robin Zimpfer, Assistant County Executive Officer/EDA and Executive Director of the Economic Development Agency (EDA), is the highest-ranking woman in Riverside County government and EDA's top administrator. Ms. Zimpfer's career with EDA has spanned over 20 years. Since becoming Assistant County Executive Officer/EDA of California's 4th largest county in August 2005, EDA has made significant strides including:
- 2.8 billion in capital investment brought by commercial and industrial projects through EDA's Fast Track program
- 28,205 jobs created
- $205 million in redevelopment bonds to fund capital improvement projects Redevelopment project areas were expanded by more than 6,100 acres.
Ms. Zimpfer has been a member of many local, regional and state-wide boards including the Team CA Executive Board, CDC Small Business Finance Corporation, Inland Empire Economic Partnership, Inland Empire Affiliate of The Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Mayor's Regional International Cabinet Executive Committee for the Global Trade Center. With more than 20 years experience in regional economic development, housing and redevelopment programs, she has been a mentor to women in the County throughout her career and is a current member of Riverside County's Women's Executive Network. Ms. Zimpfer lives in Riverside with her husband Paul McDonnell, Riverside County Treasurer-Tax Collector, and together they have four children and two grandchildren. She earned her bachelors and masters degrees in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino.
