| Michael Mizrahi is director of public affairs for The Gas Company in the utility’s northern service territory. Mizrahi supervises six public affairs managers who are Company liaisons with civic and community groups and local government officials throughout the counties of Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Tulare, Kings, Fresno and Kern. The area also includes the San Fernando Valley, and such cities as Agoura, Calabasas, Santa Clarita, Pasadena and Glendale. Mizrahi joined The Gas Company in 1984 and has managed several public affairs groups for the utility and its parent company, including public affairs strategy and planning, media and community relations, special events planning, and legislative analysis. Active in community and business affairs, he currently serves on the board of directors of the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley, Valley Industry and Commerce Association and the San Fernando Valley Interfaith Council. Mizrahi and his team are also actively involved with several economic development organizations throughout the Company’s northern service territory. These include the Economic Development Collaborative of Ventura County, Kern County Economic Development Corporation and the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation. A native of Los Angeles, Mizrahi has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from San Diego State University, and a master’s degree in Public Relations from Boston University. He and his wife, Karen, currently reside in the San Fernando Valley, in the City of Woodland Hills. They have two grown children. |
