Brian McGowan

Brian McGowan is the Economic Development Agency Administrator for San Bernardino County. In that capacity he oversess the operation of four agencies: Redevelopment, Community Development and Housing, Economic Development, and Workforce Development.

Prior to joining the County, Brian served as the Economic Development Manager for the City of Ontario, where he created an innovative international trade program and led several trade mission teams. He also created the Entrepreneur's Network, the CEO Advisory Panel and an Energy Response Team.

Brian has also served as the Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Palm Springs.

Brian's international trade expertise was utilized as a consultant for the US Agency for International Development in Bulgaria and Serbia, where he developed economic strategies for cities. He also created a plan for a national economic development organization to market Bulgaria.

Brian is a Ph.D candidate in American Politics and Policy at Claremont Graduate University.
